Bem vindo. Criei essa página para divulgar e convidar as pessoas a participarem de um projeto de composição colaborativa que estou preparando. Eis como a coisa funciona:

- Grave um video de um pequeno improviso, tocando um instrumento ou cantando (sem letra, somente “oh”, “ah”, etc.) usando as seguinte notas:

- É muito importante usar APENAS essas notas. Elas podem ser tocadas em qualquer oitava, mas as notas c, eb, f, f#, g# e a# são as únicas permitidas.
- Toque frases simples, notas longas, texturas aéreas e adirecionais. Com andamento livre, sem métrica definida. (Isso é muito importante!)
- Silêncios entre as frases são muito bem vindos!
- O tempo total do seu improviso deve ser em torno de 2 minutos.
- Se preferir, baixe esse exemplo no botão azul “Download Now” para ter uma idéia do clima da coisa, toque junto um pouco, e depois grave seu video.
- Qualquer instrumento é bem vindo. Quanto mais diversidade tímbrica, melhor! Então está valendo ligar o clarinete no pedal de delay e wha-wha, usar eBow na cítara, sintetizadores de todos os tipos, vale tudo.

Depois de gravar o seu vídeo, faça ele chegar até mim! Me envie uma mensagem em emaildomagno1@gmail.com com um link do video no youtube, vimeo, megaupload, dropbox, ou qualquer outra ferramenta de compartilhamento da sua preferência.

O resultado final será uma peça onde diferentes vídeos de pessoas que nunca tocaram juntas, poderão ser combinados de diferentes maneiras em tempo real, gerando infinitas versões possíveis da obra.

Sintam-se a vontade para espalhar isso e convidar todos seus amigos músicos a fazerem parte. Quanto mais gente melhor…

Welcome to “Composição Coletiva”. I’ve created this page to spread the word and invite people to participate in a collaborative musical composition project I’m working on. Here’s how it works:

- Record a video of a small improvisation of yourself playing or singing (no lyrics, just “oh”, “ah” and so on), using the notes on the treble staff at the top of the page.
- It’s very important that you use ONLY those notes. They can be played in any octave,but only the notes c, eb, f, f#, g#, and a# are allowed.
- Play simple, floating textures with long notes and no defined tempo or pulse.
- Silence between the phrases are very welcomed!
- Thick and low register chords are not so welcomed…
- Record in a quiet environment, with as little background noise as possible.
- The total length of your improvisation should be around 2 minutes.
- You can download this example and listen, so you can get the feel of it, play along a couple of times, then record your video.
- Any type of instrument is welcome. The bigger the timbre and tone color variety, the better! You can plug your clarinet into a delay and wha pedal, eBow your indian Citar, use you home built modular synthesizer, anything goes.

Once you record your video, make sure it finds me! Send an email at emaildomagno1@gmail.com with a link to youtube, vimeo, dropbox, or any other sharing toll of you preference so I can download the video.

The final result, I hope to be a piece were all the videos of different people that never met, can be combined in a lot of different ways in real time, allowing infinte versions of the work.

Fell free to spread this around, invite all your misician friends to be a part of this. The bigger, the better…
